Insert images from the internet into WordPress

Chuyển hosting hay đổi tên miền với Duplicator

The article provides a guide on how to insert images from the internet into WordPress posts without having to upload them to hosting. This can be useful if hosting capacity is limited. The process involves clicking on “Add Media” and then selecting “Insert from URL” to input the image URL. Options for customizing the image, such as captions, alt tags, alignment, and linking to a website, are also provided. This feature eliminates the need to download and upload images, but there is a risk of them being deleted as they are stored elsewhere.

In previous posts, I have guided you on how to upload images and insert them into posts. Today, to continue the image part, I will guide you on how to insert pictures from the internet into an article like mine.

For some reason, such as your hosting not having enough capacity or low bandwidth, you may need to upload images to Google Photos. WordPress supports pasting pictures from the internet into the article without having to upload them to hosting. However, since the image is stored elsewhere, you need to try to limit the risk of the image being deleted, as when using it from another website.

Insert image from the internet

First, click on Add Media.

Next, click on Insert from URL. A frame will appear on the right to insert an image from a URL.

You enter the image URL you have in the URL input box.

As soon as you enter the image URL, the tool will show you options for this image and provide a preview of it.

  1. URL of the image you want to insert
  2. Images you insert
  3. Captions
  4. Alt Tags
  5. Align: Align
  6. Link to: Link to the website when you click on the image.

Epilogue

With this feature, you do not need to download the image to your computer and then upload it. However, you should be cautious because the image is stored elsewhere, so there is a risk of it being deleted, which could impact your article.
