Step 1: Access phpMyAdmin

For cPanel users, simply log in to your hosting account, navigate to the Database section, and click on phpMyAdmin. Meanwhile, Directadmin users should log in to their hosting account and locate and click on phpMyAdmin.

Step 2: Open WordPress user table

After accessing phpMyAdmin, click on the database marker to reveal all the tables in the database. Locate and select the _user table.

Step 3: Set a new password for the user

Click on the Edit button for the user whose password you wish to reset. In the user_pass section, select the encryption type as MD5, enter the new password in the adjacent box, and click the execute button.

And voila! Your user’s password has been successfully reset.
