The Visual Editor in WordPress allows for easy visual editing of articles similar to MS Word without the need for HTML knowledge. This feature supports formatting text directly using tools such as bold, italics, lists, quotations, alignment options, links, and special characters. Additional functions include splitting articles with a “More” button, clearing formatting, and expanding the editing area to full screen. Overall, the Visual Editor simplifies the editing process and enhances the user experience for creating WordPress posts.

The Visual Editor in WordPress allows you to edit articles visually, similar to MS Word. Instead of formatting text with HTML tags, WordPress supports you to format directly with Visual tools.

When Add New, in a new post, you will have 2 editing modes: Visual and Text (use html tag – You must have knowledge of HTML).

  1. Bold.
  2. Italicized.
  3. Create letters with a hyphen in the middle. For example: abc.
  4. Create a list (list – li tag in html) similar to that in Word. Example
  5. Create a list with a number at the beginning.
  6. Quotation marks. Usually cite a sentence or a paragraph.
  7. Create a horizontal line across the article.
  8. Left Alignment.
  9. Center.
  10. Right Alignment.
  11. Insert link.
  12. Delete inserted link.
  13. Create button More. When you use this function, the article will be divided into 2 parts, on the home page only the top part is displayed (usually a summary) then the reader must click on the more button to see the entire article.
  14. Show or hide the toolbar below (buttons 15 -> 25)
  15. Create H, p, pre… tags that are effective in SEO.
  16. Underline.
  17. Evenly.
  18. Text colors.
  19. Paste as text: Used to paste text without restoring formatting. If you edit in Word, copy and paste, this function will help remove text formatting so you can reformat it, avoiding page layout errors.
  20. Clear formatting: Clear formatting.
  21. Insert special characters that are not on the keyboard, for example: ©, ∑…
  22. Push the text from right to left.
  23. Push text from left to right.
  24. Undo.
  25. Redo.
  26. Expand the editing area to full screen.
